This project is in module 5: Digital Animation. We have learned how to use Adobe Animate to create an animation. We are asked to do an animation about “scientific explanation” which involves a topic that requires a higher level of cognition. I choose to describe an easy topic “how meteors are formed?” For this animation, I have learned how to use the functions in Adobe Animate, how to adjust the moving speed, and how to rotate the objects. I export the animation as a video, then record the narration as background sound by iPhone. Last, I edit it with iMovie and upload the video to YouTube.

Project 6: Digital Animation

Steps in creating the video:
  • Created a new file as HD, frame rate as 30.00
  • Imported one image as a background on the first layer
  • Added three text boxes and created classic Tween to each timeline on different layers
  • Drew visual objects to represent rocks and meteors moving
  • Added classic Tween to move the visual objects
  • Added audio file into the animation
  • Published the file as video(mp4.) and uploaded to YouTube
